More about the Benelux

The Benelux is a collaborative partnership of the Northern European countries of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. This partnership was formed in 1944, and led to the establishment of an economic union in 1958.

The Benelux has a population of 27 million. This is roughly half of the population of France or the UK, and more than one-third of the 80 million inhabitants of Germany. Therefore the Benelux is an interesting market.

However, the Benelux is also a complex market. The 27 million inhabitants are divided between three countries. The Netherlands and Belgium have complex healthcare systems. The Benelux has several languages, including Dutch, French and German. And there are important regional differences in customs and culture.

In short, it is an interesting and challenging geographic region that you cannot easily enter effectively and efficiently on your own. Tramedico knows the Benelux pharmaceutical markets like no other. Tramedico is located in Weesp (near Amsterdam) in the Netherlands, and in Temse (near Antwerp) in Belgium.
